How to Propagate a Monstera Adansonii Monstera Adansonii are vine plants which make them extremely easy to propagate. You’ll need just a few things; A node cutting Clean sharp sheers Container full of water Lets get started! Locate a node. The node is a brown round root that grows on vine plants. cut about an inch under the node. Make sure there is at least one leaf on your trimming, two is ideal. Take your cutting and place it in distilled water completely covering the node with water, keep it in indirect light. Keep your cutting node covered with water. It will take about 3 weeks but soon a white root will start to show. Keep the new root covered with water. Once the root spikes get to and inch or more than its time to transplant to soil! I like a 5:1:1:1, 4 potting soil, 2 part orchid wood, 1 part charcoal, 1 part perlite. Keep the soil most but not wet.
